Smashed cucumber salad. Using recipe by YouTuber : Made With Lau. https://youtu.be/nTGWvvUTSeQ?si=tuMC9uAeKdGzrKa8 I tried out with a little adjustment. The result is good. So I am going to record it down based on what I used this time.
My basic ingredients : Japanese cucumber 430 grams. I have also added some cooked black fungus.
Salting ingredients. 0.75 teaspoon salt. 0.75 teaspoon sugar.
Seasoning ingredients. 1 tablespoon light soya sauce. 1.5 tablespoon vinegar. 1.5 tablespoon sugar. 4 cloves garlic. 1 stalk green onion, chopped (if available) 1 red chilli, cut into bigger pieces so that it will not be too spicy.
Before serving. 0.75 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds. 0.5 teaspoon sesame oil.
If we compare the ingredients by Made with Lau, I have left out bell peppers, cilantro, chilli sauce. Instead I added a piece of red chilli, cut in big pieces so that it is not too spicy, while maintaing the clear taste.
