Simple boiled Xiao Bai Cai
The easiest way to cook this vege without getting your kitchen oily and a healthier choice too.
Just ensure you have the ready made fried garlic in your fridge, you can cook the healthier vegetables anytime you want. We can buy them off the shelves or fried them in advance. I usually fried them in advance, store them in a bottle or buy them from the shelves. All are good.
Wash the vegetables. This vege is very easy to prepare. Just need to cut off at the bottom of the bunch of leaves and remove them one by one. Ensure to wash off ll the sand at the bottom of the leaves. We are ready to cook them.
To cook, boil water in the pot. Add salt to taste.
Upon boiling, place the vegetables into the pot and boil them for at least 1 minute. If you prefer softer vegetable, boil for anther 1 minute. Taste test to see the desired texture.
Drain and place the boiled vegetables onto a plate.
Place a teaspoon of fried garlic with a little oil on top of the vegetables.
Using the water from the boiling vegetables, Pour some water onto the vegetables such that it flow from the garlic, Just enough like the picture above.
We are ready to serve the vegetables.
